He watches her walk away, holds his breath as she half turns nears sliding doors, wants to look back, doesn't. He has a practiced smirk in place just in case.
Shoulders raised into a perpetual whatever...
He blinks, three years have passed.
And they're as far from Seattle as he ever remembers being. Metaphorically at least.
The slow curve of her hips, a familiar sigh on the back of his neck. The band of silver around her finger, tarnished and more than a little bent out of shape.
He doesn't bother to ask who gave it to her.
