I think Jackson's excuse for living in the frat-house is that he was rooming with Charles. It's a cheap idea because April and Reed were roommates already, but it can be a reason. As for why Mer lets them in, she could have feel the house too empty right after the shooting. Derek and Alex probably stayed a while in the hospital. Lexie was a big mess, SHE was a big mess, Cristina was a big mess. Mer needed more *people*. And she still does, she likes the house full of people, so Derek better gets used to it!
Also, the look of hate Lexie gives April after Alex gives her his fries for helping her? Totally adds to the lists of reasons of Lexie still having feelings of some kind for Alex. She was angry at April for stealing her sister, and then she goes stealing Alex, who is also "hers". Ha.
And I too like April. Not love her, really, but I don't dislike her. I want to see her interacting more with Jackson to understand their dynamic better, and with Alex to see how she reacts to him. That will probably help me decide about her more firmly. I also kind of want a girls night out with Mer, Cristina, Lexie and April, see what can come up out of that :P
