And as long as you write fic...who cares if it's in answer to your own prompt? It might be fun to compare the different stories that come out of one prompt.
One of the things I love about any kind of art, be it fic, fashion, painting or acting, is that ONE WORD can make all kinds of things happen. Out of nowhere, all of a sudden there are all these beautiful things.
What if Somerhalder had gotten the part of Eric? Or the guy playing Matt (don't know his name but he will always be Casey to me;)) the past of Damon? Weather better or worse, we would have two very different Damons and Erics.
