I can't believe the horrid weather you guys are having down south! By comparison, it is pretty pleasant in the sunshine state. Although, I guess, I am in a/c most of the day and by the time I get home it has cooled down. That helps :)

Yeah, it may not be hot for long down here in comparison to you northern states, but the temperatures are INSANE, then it doesn't really cool down much at night. And it's always when there are massive sporting events on. Road Cycling Nationals were in Ballarat this week (some friends of mine rode) and it was 42 deg while they were trying to ride a stupid amount of k's under race conditions on the open road... Australian Open starts soon, the Hobart International (also Tennis) started Sunday, we have a test match (cricket) starting here Thursday in Hobart, Hobart Bikes and Spikes were on on Sunday (cycling and athletics), I was there and it was toooooo hot. Craziness.

Having said that, I still choose it over a Hobart winter!
